I hear people in Vienna are grumpy and indeed they are! In the end it didn’t matter that much though since I had such a great time when visiting Veronika last weekend…I like Vienna a lot and Bratislava was fantastic with the atmosphere and beautiful old city core.

Weather was pretty good.

I had spritze and Asian food in China Bar.

Vero had picked me up and she had her summer dress on!

My plan for the afternoon while waiting for Vero to finnish work.

In the evening we went to Bratislava with the train. It’s only 1 hr and you could even bring the bike on the train. We stayed over at friends of Veronika: Sandra and Michal who were great hosts and Sandra had the same watch as I have!

Their dog woke me up in the morning :).

Then we had a little walk in the city.

My Slovakian friends has started a project building a community garden on a plot between some houses in agreement of the owner of the plot. The idea is that people grew their own vegetables in their box and once they must move away they can bring thier box with them.

Building boxes.

Building of a stone path.

Chilling a little bit.

Working some more.

Drinking locally brewed beer.

A narrow alley in Bratislava.

There was also a market in the city with local ecological products like juices and wines.

Abandoned buildings.

Back in Vienna with an espresso at Hotel Daniel…

…and a walk in Augarten.

Then we had lunch at a bar by Donaukanal.

Chilling at Steinhof!

and doing the Edelweiss dance.

On Sunday evening we went to the Opera!

Cafe Prickl, it’s brining you to the 50s.

I did not eat here.

I cooked risotto instead.

…with lots of parmesan cheese :).

Vero liked it!

Neat at Vero.

Generous Vieneese.
Gruss Gott!
